Permian Basin producers struggle to find buyers for excess natural gas

The Permian’s growing natural gas supply has piled up to the point that producers sometimes cannot sell the gas, according to the Wall Street Journal Markets.

So much natural gas has built up in the Permian Basin of West Texas that producers are sometimes unable to give it away, a situation highlighted by the Wall Street Journal Markets.

The outlet attributes the problem to natural-gas pools accumulating in the region, creating an oversupply that can leave producers searching for ways to move the commodity.
