Amazon to build $98M regional distribution center in Terrell, Texas

The 1.2 million-square-foot project targets a completion next year, with construction potentially starting as early as August 2026.

Amazon plans to construct a new regional distribution center in Terrell, Texas, with an estimated cost of $98 million, according to ConnectCRE.

The facility will cover 1.2 million square feet, and The Dallas Morning News reports construction could begin as early as August 2026, with delivery slated for next year.

Amazon is developing the site at 3201 Airport Road on a 120-acre property it purchased last year from Hunt Realty Investments, and the location sits between the U.S. Route 80 and Interstate 20 corridors, ConnectCRE reported.

ConnectCRE also noted Amazon is adding to its Texas footprint with another distribution center project in the state, including a 1.7 million-square-foot development in a separate metro area where construction began two years ago and is on track for delivery this quarter.
