Artex Axcell Re issues $60m private catastrophe bond notes
The new US$60 million Series FE0004 notes are due April 30, 2027, adding to 2026 private cat bond issuance tracked across the market.
Artex Axcell Re, the Bermuda domiciled risk transformer entity operated by Artex Risk Solutions, has issued a new private catastrophe bond transaction, with US$60 million of Series FE0004 notes coming to market.
The deal is part of the Artex Axcell Re (Bermuda) Limited transformer and segregated accounts vehicle, which is used to help sponsors access risk capital and transacting reinsurance related risks through private insurance linked securities.
The Series FE0004 notes have a due date of April 30, 2027, and are privately placed with qualified institutional investors. The notes are also listed on the Bermuda Stock Exchange.
Artemis said the issuance makes the fourth private cat bond transaction it has tracked from Artex Axcell Re (Bermuda) Limited in 2026, bringing total tracked private cat bond lite transactions to 19 for the year, just over $383 million year to date.
