Chip stocks help lift Nasdaq and other US indexes
U.S. stock indexes rose as investors pushed into the next round of big tech earnings, with chip-related stocks providing a key tailwind, according to WSJ Markets.
The rally helped support the Nasdaq, which benefited from a rebound in semiconductor names as traders positioned for earnings from some of the largest US technology companies.
