Japan exports rise in June, beating expectations

Exports to China grew 17.6% year over year, alongside gains to the U.S. and EU.

Japan’s June trade data pointed to stronger outbound shipments than expected, with exports rising year over year, according to Forexlive.

The report said exports to China increased 17.6% year over year, while exports to Asia rose 22.7% and exports to the U.S. climbed 13.0% annually.

Forexlive also cited an 20.3% year over year increase in exports to the EU, as part of the broader June export picture.
