Movement Mortgage expands bilingual support and brings ITIN lending in-house
The lender’s new in-house ITIN mortgage program offers financing up to 85% loan-to-value for qualified borrowers without a Social Security number.
HousingWire reports that Movement Mortgage has launched a national Diverse Lending Support Team, a bilingual staffing effort designed to help loan officers serve Spanish-speaking borrowers.
The company said the new team supports loan originators that do not speak Spanish by functioning as an extension of their business, while Spanish-speaking loan officers can use the service for bilingual assistants and support staff to manage files through the mortgage process.
Movement also moved its Individual Taxpayer Identification Number mortgage program in-house. The ITIN product is available to qualified borrowers without a Social Security number and offers financing up to 85% loan-to-value.
HousingWire added that the language-access push builds on Movement’s Spanish-language lending platform introduced in 2016, and the company said bringing ITIN lending in-house replaces what it described as a traditionally complicated, fee-heavy broker process.
