TTF natural gas tops €60/MWh as Middle East disruptions intensify
Rabobank expects European gas prices to stay elevated into the second half of 2026, supporting power prices as gas-fired generation remains important in Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK.
Rabobank says benchmark TTF natural gas has climbed above €60/MWh as disruptions to Middle Eastern supply intensify, keeping pressure on European energy markets.
The bank expects gas prices to remain elevated into the second half of 2026, which could limit downside for power prices in Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK as gas-fired generation is set to matter more again.
The outlook comes alongside broader market sensitivity to Middle East tensions, which FXStreet notes are also feeding into moves across other major assets and currencies.
