BitMEX to delist 65 trading pairs and derivatives in July

The exchange cited insufficient trading interest and plans to stop all services on Sept. 23, 2026 at 4:00 am UTC.

BitMEX will remove 65 derivative contracts and trading pairs in July, a faster delisting pace than the 19 removals recorded across the first six months of the year, Cointelegraph reports.

The exchange accelerated the process for contracts it said saw insufficient trading interest, with its website showing it delisted 21 derivatives in early July and nine spot pairs about two weeks later, before adding another 35 derivative contracts to the delisting queue.

BitMEX said the delistings stem from limited demand for the affected contracts and the closure of the BitMEX exchange, according to Cointelegraph.

BitMEX announced it will cease exchange services on Sept. 23, 2026 at 4:00 am UTC, and a restructuring adviser told Cointelegraph the move reflects structural pressures on mid-sized centralized exchanges, including liquidity shifting to the largest players and rising regulatory compliance costs.
