De Heus opens marine and cold-water fish feed mill in Vietnam
The new facility in Vinh Long has capacity of 168,000 tonnes per year and will supply specialized feed for both regional aquaculture and export markets.
De Heus Animal Nutrition has officially opened a new marine and cold-water fish feed mill in Vinh Long Province, Vietnam, marking the company’s first mill dedicated to feed for marine and cold-water fish species, World Grain reports.
The plant is designed to produce 168,000 tonnes per year, using advanced technology sourced from Europe and the United States and operating under internationally recognized standards including ISO 22000, ASC Feed, and BAP.
De Heus said the investment supports demand for high-quality seafood and will help farmers improve performance and product quality through specialized nutrition solutions for high-value aquaculture species, including feed for marine fish such as sea bass and barramundi.
The company also said sustainability is built into the facility, with design and operations intended to optimize raw material use, improve operational performance, and reduce energy consumption across the production process.
