Dual-branded Hilton hotel planned for downtown Austin site
The 30-story project is expected to include 480 rooms, with 184 Embassy Suites rooms and 296 Tempo rooms.
A dual-branded Hilton hotel is planned for a downtown Austin site where the Smash ATX bar is slated for demolition, according to ConnectCRE.
The development, led by Peachtree and Merritt Development, will be an Embassy Suites by Hilton and Tempo by Hilton property expected to total 480 rooms, with 184 Embassy Suites rooms and 296 Tempo rooms.
ConnectCRE reports that the project could cost more than $250 million, and would include 7,700 square feet of flexible meeting space within the 30-story building.
The planned ground-floor and rooftop amenities call for a national restaurant operator to take 10,000 square feet on the first and second floors, plus a rooftop bar and lounge, with TDLR Group listed as the architect.
