Hyperliquid’s tokenized RWA trading surpasses all other categories
Tokenized RWAs generated $25.1 billion in weekly volume on Hyperliquid from July 13 to July 19, or 52% of the DEX’s $48.2 billion total.
Tokenized real-world asset (RWA) trading became the largest category on perpetual decentralized exchange Hyperliquid for the first time, exceeding the combined weekly volume of all other asset categories, according to Blockworks data cited by Cointelegraph.
From July 13 to July 19, RWAs produced $25.1 billion in trading volume, accounting for 52% of Hyperliquid’s total weekly volume of $48.2 billion. Hyperliquid’s RWA market alone was described as larger than the combined crypto perpetual volume of every other DEX.
Cointelegraph also cited RWA.xyz data showing RWA holders grew 32% over the past month to 1.25 million users, while the total value of tokenized RWAs rose 3.5% to $36.7 billion. DefiLlama data further showed Hyperliquid generated $7.6 million in revenue over the same past week.
Hyperliquid’s perp DEX ranked third among crypto applications by weekly revenue, behind stablecoin issuers Tether and Circle, which generated $112 million and $45 million respectively, per the outlet. Cointelegraph linked the trend to broader expansion of tokenized asset offerings by crypto firms and traditional financial institutions.
