McDonald’s hits a new 52-week low after weeks of market weakness

The stock fell to $263.65, down 23% from its March 2 all-time high of $341.75.

McDonald’s shares hit a new 52-week low of $263.65, the outlet Yahoo Finance said, marking the company’s 19th 52-week low in the past 12 months.

The stock is also down 23% from its March 2 all-time high of $341.75, and it closed at its lowest level since July 2024, according to the report.

Yahoo Finance noted that, amid a market pullback, the number of new 52-week lows on the NYSE and Nasdaq exceeded new highs, with 191 lows versus 134 highs, a pattern the outlet linked to investor worry about an escalation in the Middle East.

The piece added that the spread between McDonald’s 30-day moving average and its 200-day moving average is the widest it has been in the past 22 years, and said the recent situation resembles prior episodes that lasted about 4.5 months on average.
