Samsung Wallet to add stablecoin support for mobile payments
Samsung says it will integrate stablecoin payments into Samsung Wallet, but has not named which stablecoins, a timeline, or partners.
Samsung Electronics plans to expand Samsung Wallet beyond traditional payments and savings by adding support for stablecoins, as it moves to combine payments, rewards, and digital assets in a single smartphone experience, Cointelegraph reports.
Samsung product manager Lee Dinham said the wallet will embrace stablecoins as a form of digital value and position Samsung among the first major mobile brands to bring native stablecoins to a smartphone for fast, trusted transfers.
The company did not disclose which stablecoins it will support, when the feature could launch, or which partners it may use, and Cointelegraph said it reached out to Samsung for comment but did not receive an immediate response.
Samsung has already been expanding its crypto connections, including a 2025 partnership with US crypto exchange Coinbase that allowed eligible Galaxy users in the United States to buy crypto directly through Samsung Wallet.
