Family office linked to Henderson Land pushes green energy plans in Central Asia
The family office said trial runs for biofuel using agricultural waste feedstock are under way in Astana, with potential investment exceeding US$1 billion.
Henderson Land Development co-chairman and managing director Peter Lee Ka-kit’s family office has fast-tracked green energy plans in Central Asia, where the projects are expected to attract more than US$1 billion in investment, according to the South China Morning Post.
The outlet reports that Alan Chan Ying-lung, managing partner of the family office, Full Vision Capital, said the firm is moving ahead with projects including sustainable aviation fuel and smart energy storage solutions in Kazakhstan’s capital, Astana.
Chan added that trial runs using agricultural waste as a feedstock for biofuel are under way, pending finalization of agreements that would ultimately support the larger investment commitment.
He also said Full Vision senior management has made repeat trips to Astana since Peter Lee joined the government delegation for the Uzbekistan leg of a trip in early June, with the latest update shared during the inaugural Nusa Dua Forum in Bali.
