Samsung Wallet to support native stablecoins on Galaxy phones
Samsung has not confirmed which issuer, network, custody model, or launch date will be used for the feature.
Samsung has signaled that updates to its Samsung Wallet on Galaxy phones will include native stablecoin capability, according to a Galaxy Unpacked recap covered by CryptoSlate.
The roadmap, as described by Samsung, does not yet name a stablecoin issuer or token, a blockchain or network, or the custody and redemption model. It also leaves open which markets the capability would cover and what specific wallet functions and launch timing would be available.
CryptoSlate notes that the distribution impact will depend on product mechanics, including whether the wallet becomes a direct flow for holding, sending, receiving, or paying with stablecoins, or whether support stays more limited through partner integrations or funding links.
The outlet also points out that Samsung Wallet already served as a hub for payments and other device functions before the 2026 roadmap details were released. Samsung previously announced that Samsung Pay would begin rolling out inside Coinbase as a payment and deposit option in the United States and Canada, an earlier integration that connected a familiar Samsung payment method with a separate crypto platform, while the stablecoin update has not been tied to a similar outcome.
