UK to host Zelensky and share IP for drone electronic jamming
The UK says it will transfer the intellectual property behind its “Stone Cloak” electronic jamming capability, designed to disrupt Russian air defense tracking of drones.
British Prime Minister Andy Burnham will host Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Monday in his first foreign leader visit since taking office, London said, framing the stop as a show of continued support for Kyiv.
The leaders are expected to visit a British naval base and meet with armed forces personnel involved in training Ukrainian service members for combat, according to an announcement from Burnham’s Downing Street office.
London also said it will share with Ukraine the intellectual property behind a new battle-tested electronic jamming capability it has dubbed “Stone Cloak.”
Downing Street described “Stone Cloak” as a military-grade jammer roughly the size of a tablet computer and attached to drones, intended to hinder Russian air defense systems from tracking and targeting the weapons in flight, as described by SCMP Economy citing the UK government announcement.
