Energy buyers in Asia seek to reduce reliance on imported fuels
The New York Times Business reports that several developing Asian countries, which have been hit by Middle East supply disruptions, are trying to rely less on imported energy supplies.
The outlet says the shift includes reducing dependence on imported liquefied natural gas as these buyers look for ways to “unshackle” their energy needs from global market volatility tied to the Iran conflict.
