Triple-A reports unauthorized access to its Ethereum wallets

Onchain data tracked 5,287.1 ETH flowing into a single address tied to the incident on July 24 and July 25, while the firm says client funds were not affected.

Triple-A, a Singapore-based stablecoin payments firm, said it contained unauthorized access to wallets holding its own digital assets, while maintaining that client money was not exposed.

The company identified the incident on July 25, placed certain services into maintenance mode for about three hours to secure affected infrastructure and run security checks, and later said all services were restored and transactions and settlements processed normally across markets. Triple-A said the financial impact was limited to specific operational accounts, was absorbed from treasury reserves, and it remained able to meet its liabilities.

Onchain analyst Specter identified 0x01F83B5d4fb30E8AA3daC1681B4048D9135253b1 as an Ethereum address where funds linked to the incident were being consolidated. Etherscan records show 12 inbound transfers of more than 0.01 ETH into that address on July 24 and July 25, totaling 5,287.08568411 ETH, though the public flows do not show when the unauthorized access began or the size of any loss.

Triple-A said it does not custody client digital assets and that client funds are held separately in trust accounts with safeguarding institutions that were not exposed. The firm also said it is working with cybersecurity and blockchain-forensics specialists and has not disclosed an asset list, wallet addresses, or a loss figure.
