Core Scientific adds 301 bitcoins in Q2 and boosts revenue

The Nasdaq-listed miner ended Q2 with 848 bitcoins, after holding 547 at the end of Q1, and said Q2 revenue rose to $164.2 million from $78.6 million a year earlier.

Core Scientific said it increased its Bitcoin treasury by 301 coins during the second quarter, ending the period with 848 bitcoins, after reporting 547 bitcoins at the close of Q1. Bitcoin Magazine reports the company values the holdings at more than $54 million at current prices.

The miner also disclosed that its decision to rebuild its Bitcoin balance sheet comes after earlier 2025 selling, which reduced its holdings as it funded a transition toward artificial intelligence and high-powered computing. Bitcoin Magazine adds that selling coins can reduce reliance on equity issuance or additional borrowing, and may provide more cash on hand.

Core Scientific reported second-quarter revenue of $164.2 million, up from $78.6 million in Q2 2025, while gross profit rose to $70 million from $5 million in the same prior-year period, according to the filing cited by Bitcoin Magazine.

The company also highlighted its push into AI data center infrastructure, including a deal signed with AMD for 2.5 gigawatts of data center capacity. Bitcoin Magazine said the agreement gives AMD access to more than 500 megawatts of Core Scientific’s AI-ready data center capacity, as miners rebrand themselves as digital infrastructure providers.
