Cynde Altheim Interiors renews 6,740 sf lease at 149 W 36th St
The third-floor renewal keeps the firm in the Garment District building, where asking rents for Class B Midtown South office space averaged $81.1 per square foot in Q2 2026, according to Cushman & Wakefield data.
Commercial Observer reports that interior design firm Cynde Altheim Interiors is renewing its third-floor lease at 149 West 36th Street in Manhattan.
The company will remain in 6,740 square feet of space in the Frangene Company-owned, 12-story building between Broadway and Seventh Avenue, at an address the firm reached in 2014.
The lease renewal was part of a broader set of recent tenant deals arranged directly with occupants by Lee & Associates NYC brokers Noah Caspi and Todd Korren, who represented the landlord.
Korren said tenants evaluated their options before committing to long-term renewals, and that retaining quality tenants through direct negotiations benefits both ownership and occupants, while the brokers did not disclose asking rents.
In the same building, Excel Graphics renewed an eight-year lease for 4,500 square feet in 2019, and other tenants include United Parcel Service and Liba Fabrics.
