LVMH fashion and leather unit posts 1% organic growth in Q2
The company said it saw rapid acceleration in the United States, even as first-half organic sales in the division were down 1%.
LVMH reported 1% organic growth in the second quarter for its core fashion and leather goods division, ending seven straight quarters of decline and setting a positive tone ahead of a busy week of French luxury results, according to SCMP Economy.
For the first half, organic sales in the fashion and leather division fell 1%, an improvement versus a 3% decline in the second half of 2025 and a 7% drop in the first half of 2025.
SCMP Economy also reported that LVMH attributed a “rapid acceleration” to the United States. Separately, the group’s wine and spirits division recorded 5% organic growth over the first half.
Within that segment, LVMH said persisting positive momentum for Hennessy cognac in China has continued since Chinese New Year, after cognac sales had previously plunged following provisional anti-dumping duties Beijing imposed on European brandy in retaliation to Brussels’ tariffs on made-in-China electric vehicles.
