Mesa West Capital provides $81M refi for 330-unit Atlas Peakview
The short-term first-mortgage loan will refinance the Centennial, Colo. complex, which hit 85% occupancy by the second quarter of 2025.
A joint venture involving the Dinerstein Companies and PGIM has secured $81 million to refinance Atlas Peakview, a 330-unit multifamily property that opened outside Denver, Colorado, according to Commercial Observer.
Mesa West Capital provided the financing as a short-term, first-mortgage loan, with Walker and Dunlop arranging the deal, including Tom Melody and Paul House. Commercial Observer also noted that John Melody, who was involved, recently left Walker and Dunlop for Transwestern.
Mesa West Capital’s Brian Hirsh said the property has shown positive leasing performance since opening in 2025 and reached 85% occupancy by the second quarter of last year. Hirsh added the refinancing is intended to give the sponsor a fresh runway amid demand for high-quality, amenity-rich housing in the Denver Tech Center area.
Atlas Peakview is located at 7800 East Peakview Avenue in Centennial, about 13 miles southeast of downtown Denver near Interstate 25. The article says the apartments range from studios to three-bedroom units and include amenities such as a resort-style pool, sky lounge, fitness center, pet-wash station, and speakeasy-style bar, while Mesa West has originated $800 million in short-term debt in the first six months of 2026.
