Suzlon Energy Q1 profit slips 6% as revenue rises 22.5%
The company said Q1 deliveries hit a record 506 MW, while its EBITDA margin narrowed to 15.6% from 19.2%.
Suzlon Energy reported a 6% year-on-year decline in consolidated net profit to ₹305 crore for the quarter ended June 2026 (Q1 FY27), even as revenue from operations rose 22.5% to ₹3,819 crore, LiveMint Markets reported on July 28 during market hours.
EBITDA edged down to ₹595 crore from ₹599 crore, and the EBITDA margin shrank to 15.6% from 19.2%. The quarter also saw deliveries increase 14% year-on-year to a record 506 MW, while commissioning climbed 2.3 times to 269 MW.
Suzlon said its cumulative order book stood at 6.1 GW, with 84% of orders coming from PSU and C&I segments. It added record new orders of around 1 GW during the quarter, including two large EPC orders from Tata Power and the Waaree Group, and increased the share of EPC orders in the order book to 32% from 22% in Q1 FY26.
After the results release, Suzlon shares fell as much as 5.6% to an intraday low of ₹50.15 on the BSE. The company also highlighted its S175 5 MW wind turbine platform launch in India and Europe and its “Suzlon 2.0” strategy to reorganize operations into four business verticals, according to LiveMint Markets.
