Anchorage Digital criticizes Fed payment account plan for crypto firms

Anchorage Digital said the Fed proposal would not effectively replace the master account model it relies on.

Anchorage Digital said the Federal Reserve’s proposed payment account would not be a workable substitute for the master account structure used by some crypto firms, according to The Block.

The company argued the Fed’s alternative would not address the practical access needs it seeks from the central bank payment system, The Block said.

Anchorage Digital’s comments add to the debate over how, and whether, the Fed’s payments framework should extend to digital asset market participants.
