US CPI rose 3.5% in June as energy costs eased
June CPI increased 3.5% year over year, below economists expectations of 3.8%, helped by easing energy prices.
CNBC Economy reports that US consumer prices rose 3.5% year over year in June.
The report said the June CPI reading came in below expectations, which had called for a 3.8% increase from a year earlier.
It attributed the softer print to easing energy prices.
