Aviva Investors launches tokenized US Dollar Liquidity Fund on XRPL
The tokenized share class was launched after Central Bank of Ireland approval and will use BNY Mellon custody alongside Komainu custody services and Licuido’s tokenization infrastructure.
Aviva Investors, the London-based asset management arm of Aviva Plc, has launched a tokenized share class of its US Dollar Liquidity Fund on the XRP Ledger, after receiving approval from the Central Bank of Ireland, Cointelegraph reports.
The tokenized share class is aimed at eligible investors with digital wallets and is designed to provide the same investment objective and liquidity profile as the conventional US Dollar Liquidity Fund.
Aviva said the fund’s underlying assets will continue to be held by custodian BNY Mellon, while Komainu will provide digital asset custody and Licuido will supply the tokenization infrastructure.
The fund invests in high-grade, short-term US dollar-denominated debt securities and money market instruments issued by governments, banks and corporations, and Cointelegraph notes the launch follows Aviva’s partnership tie-up with Ripple earlier this year.
