Finance of America hires security and revenue leaders for its platform
The reverse mortgage lender says the appointments are meant to bolster enterprise cybersecurity and improve customer engagement as it scales its home equity retirement offering.
HousingWire reports that Finance of America Reverse appointed Maury Pipkin as chief information security officer and Bryan Summerhays as senior vice president of revenue growth and channel strategy.
The company said Pipkin, based in Plano, Texas, will report to chief information officer Brian Conneen and lead its enterprise cybersecurity strategy. It added that Summerhays will report to President Kristen Sieffert and oversee customer engagement, sales productivity, and channel performance as the firm scales its retail platform.
HousingWire also notes that the hires come as reverse mortgage and other home equity-based retirement products face increased scrutiny from regulators and heightened operational needs, with lenders handling sensitive borrower data.
Finance of America said reverse originations fell sharply after 2022 amid higher interest rates and product changes at major lenders, but it points to long-term demand supported by baby boomers, record levels of homeowner equity, and its focus on scaling responsibly. The outlet reports President Kristen Sieffert said the company is investing in both platform security and the effectiveness of its customer-facing organization.
