U.S. resumes strikes on Iran after missile attack, ending de escalation hopes

CNBC Markets reports the United States began launching strikes against Iran on Wednesday, stateside, after a surprise missile attack.

The new strikes ended a days long pause between the two sides and pushed relations back into open conflict.

CNBC World described the renewed action as dashing hopes for de escalation following the earlier pause.
