Oil prices rise after Iran says it attacked tankers near Hormuz
Commonwealth Bank of Australia said stronger flows through the Strait of Hormuz eased market concerns after U.S.-Iran strikes earlier this week.
Oil prices moved higher after Iran said it attacked two tankers transiting the Strait of Hormuz, a route that is closely watched because disruptions can quickly affect global supply expectations.
CNBC World cited analysis from the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, saying stronger oil flows through the strait helped reduce market concerns following U.S.-Iran strikes earlier in the week.
The note pointed to improved throughput as a factor cushioning the immediate market reaction to the reported attacks.
