Warsh weighs cutting the number of Fed policy meetings

The New York Times Business reports that Kevin M. Warsh is considering reducing how often the Federal Reserve meets to set policy. The Fed has met at least eight times per year for decades, making any change a major shift from the status quo.

The outlet says the proposal would represent the biggest change to the Fed’s operations since Warsh became chairman.
