BXP named development advisor for 910-foot Oceanwide tower plan
The San Francisco Recovery Fund bought the First and Mission site earlier this year, after construction stalled in 2020.
BXP has been hired as a development advisor for plans to build a 910-foot mixed-use tower at First and Mission in San Francisco, according to ConnectCRE.
The project is tied to the collapse of China-based Oceanwide Holdings, with renewed momentum after a bankruptcy court approved the sale of an unfinished Oceanwide Plaza site in Los Angeles.
ConnectCRE said the San Francisco Recovery Fund purchased the Oceanwide development site earlier this year, and construction there stalled in 2020.
ConnectCRE reported that Recovery Fund co-founder Dan Kingsley said BXP’s role reflects the firm’s commercial landlord footprint in San Francisco and its experience developing the city’s tallest building, positioning it to help turn the First and Mission concept into an occupied development.
