Homebuyer affordability slips again as prices and mortgage rates rise
CNBC Real Estate reports that homebuyer affordability fell for a fifth straight month, according to a housing affordability index.
The outlet attributes the deterioration to both higher home prices and rising mortgage rates that have climbed since earlier this year.
As a result, the measure indicates it has become harder for buyers to afford a home amid the cost increases.
