Eternal shares jump after Zomato parent posts Q1FY27 profit rise
Zomato parent’s consolidated net profit climbed 268% year-on-year to ₹92 crore, while sequentially profit fell 47.1%.
LiveMint Markets said shares of Eternal surged as much as 1.7% to ₹303.50 on Monday, while Swiggy rose to about ₹286.40 on NSE as both companies reported their April to June quarter results for FY27.
The outlet reported that Zomato’s parent company posted a 268% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit to ₹92 crore in Q1FY27, though profit declined 47.1% quarter-on-quarter from the previous quarter.
LiveMint Markets also noted that Eternal’s consolidated revenue from operations jumped 182% year-on-year to ₹20,211 crore, and that the increase was tied to the quick commerce business shift to a 1P model, which now includes the full value of goods sold instead of mainly marketplace commissions.
The report added that Eternal’s net loss narrowed to ₹791 crore in the April to June quarter from ₹1,197 crore a year earlier, and that the operating adjusted EBITDA loss eased to ₹650 crore from ₹945 crore.
