Kraken to liquidate seven delisted tokens in Aug. 3-7 window

Withdrawals for affected clients closed July 31, and Kraken says limited or inactive markets could push liquidation prices far below reference levels, potentially leaving minimal or no proceeds.

Kraken will begin automatically liquidating seven delisted tokens on Aug. 3, after closing withdrawals for affected clients, with the sale window running through Aug. 7. The process is intended to dispose of any residual spot balances on the exchange, not to address leveraged positions or margin calls.

Any PLANCK, AIR, MICHI, FLY, ANLOG, TERM or STRD remaining on Kraken is scheduled to be sold during the five-day period. Clients cannot move the assets off Kraken because the withdrawal cutoff passed at 14:00 UTC on July 31, following earlier steps that disabled trading and deposits at 14:00 UTC on May 1 and then set the withdrawal cutoff three months later.

Kraken warns that several of the delisted tokens have limited or inactive markets, so liquidation prices may be significantly below recent reference prices. If liquidity is insufficient, Kraken says some balances could receive minimal or no proceeds, though it did not state that every affected client or asset will get nothing.

The exchange says proceeds will be denominated based on prevailing market conditions and cannot be confirmed in advance. Kraken also did not disclose where it will execute the sales, how it will sequence assets and accounts, or whether separate fees and spreads will apply during the liquidation.
