Oil slips and US stocks rise as Trump says Iran Strait talks continue

Forexlive reports President Trump said talks on Iran’s request are ongoing, including discussion of opening the Strait, and that denuclearization would take time.

The outlet tied the comments to market pricing, saying crude oil continues to trade around $79.80 per barrel, with moves of about negative 5.0% to negative 5.9%.

Forexlive also cited US fuel and equity moves, noting the average price of a gallon of gas at $4.09 and broad gains across major US stock indexes, with the Dow up 1.23%, the S&P 500 up 1.54%, and the Nasdaq up 2.23%.

It added that the Nasdaq 100 was up 1.85% in the same session.
