UN rights experts urge Canada to protect Sikh activist Moninder Singh
The experts said Singh has received four duty to warn notices since 2022 about credible and imminent threats to his life.
Five United Nations rights experts have urged Canada to take all feasible measures to protect Sikh activist Moninder Singh after Canadian authorities repeatedly warned him of credible threats to his life, according to a letter shared with the government. The letter, dated June 3 and made public two months later, cited “concerning allegations of foreign intimidation and reprisals” involving Singh, a Canadian national.
