Carrington completes deal for Valon Mortgage, boosting loan servicing
The combined servicing portfolio is expected to approach 2 million loans after the acquisition closes.
HousingWire reports that Carrington Mortgage Services has completed its acquisition of Valon Mortgage, adding about 810,000 loans to its servicing portfolio.
The company said it will use ValonOS as its core servicing platform, expanding its use of Valon’s artificial intelligence-native servicing technology.
HousingWire reports the combined portfolio is expected to approach 2 million loans, and the transaction is intended to broaden Carrington’s servicing capabilities through Valon Mortgage’s subservicing relationships and asset acquisition operations.
Carrington’s CEO Andrew Taffet said the partnership should bring greater speed, control, and consistency for borrowers, investors, and government agencies, while Valon Technologies plans to focus on expanding ValonOS across the broader mortgage servicing industry.
