Hyperscale sells about 150.5 BTC to fund data center operations

Hyperscale said it still holds 958.5 Bitcoin valued at more than $61 million as of Aug. 2, alongside plans for a $100 million digital asset treasury.

Bitcoin Magazine reports that NYSE-listed Hyperscale Data, Inc. sold about 150.5 BTC last week while Ault Capital Group, Inc. bought about 15 BTC on the open market.

The company reported holding 958.5352 Bitcoin as of Aug. 2, worth over $61 million at current prices, with those holdings held across its subsidiaries Sentinum and Ault Capital Group.

Hyperscale said it plans to keep a long-term Bitcoin position but use the asset for short-term flexibility to help fund data center operations, aiming to generate significant cash flow this year and next.

The outlet also notes that Hyperscale is targeting a $100 million digital asset treasury and expects to keep parity between its Bitcoin holdings and its market value, following the broader approach used by Strategy, formerly MicroStrategy.
