The company said capital expenditures rose sharply from a year earlier, while revenue also increased in the same reporting period.

Elon Musk’s rocket company SpaceX reported its first results after its IPO, saying capital expenditures climbed nearly seven times compared with a year earlier.

SpaceX also reported that revenue rose alongside the spending increase, according to the NYT Business.

The filing highlights a major step up in investment, with the company pointing to higher outlays tied to its artificial intelligence efforts.

SpaceX’s results were released as the company began operating in public markets after the IPO.
