WareSpace turns former Fry’s Electronics site into co-warehousing hub
The 174,500-square-foot property, closed in 2021, now offers private suites from 200 to 2,000 square feet under flexible short-term leases and aims to house more than 160 companies.
ConnectCRE reports that the former Fry’s Electronics building at U.S. 75 and President George Bush Turnpike in Dallas has been converted into a co-warehousing facility by WareSpace Plano. The property spans 174,500 square feet and is designed to accommodate more than 160 companies.
WareSpace offers private warehouse suites sized from 200 to 2,000 square feet, plus amenities such as conference rooms, shared kitchens, and lounge areas. The company also provides flexible short-term leases for businesses that need more than a garage or self-storage unit.
According to ConnectCRE, WareSpace’s new location at 700 E. Plano Pkwy. will become its fourth facility in the DFW area, following sites in Addison, Fort Worth, and North Richland Hills.
WareSpace CEO Levi Cohen said in a statement that many tenants moved on from garages or self-storage units, and that a full industrial lease was often too much commitment and risk. ConnectCRE notes the Fry’s site closed in 2021 before the conversion.
