FIFTHDELTA posts 8.6% gain in volatile July

Hedgeweek reports that FIFTHDELTA, a hedge fund founded by former Citadel portfolio managers Niall O'Keeffe and Tio Charbaghi, rebounded in July with an 8.6% return.

The fund, which manages about $1.5 billion, capitalised on sharp market swings during the month, according to reporting cited by Hedgeweek.

Those moves caught some technology-focused managers off guard, and FIFTHDELTA used the volatility to generate the monthly gains, Hedgeweek said.
