Grayscale XRP Trust ETF adds shares in Q2, net assets still slide
In Q2, GXRP generated $12.743 million in net capital from creations and redemptions, but a $16.846 million loss from operations reduced net assets to $57.413 million at quarter end.
Grayscale XRP Trust ETF, known as GXRP, reversed into positive share flow in Q2, adding 480,000 net shares after a derived 3.94 million-share contraction in the first quarter, according to its Aug. 4 Form 10-Q reviewed by CryptoSlate.
During the quarter, the fund issued 510,000 shares and redeemed 30,000, lifting Q2 net capital to $12.743 million, with $13.442 million from issuances offset by $699,000 used to pay redemptions.
Despite the improved activity, the ETF’s net assets fell. CryptoSlate reported a $16.846 million loss from operations, driven mostly by investment performance, pulling net assets to $57.413 million from $61.516 million at the end of March.
The report also showed the fund’s XRP balance rose 20.2% in Q2 to 55.036 million XRP, while holdings remained 55.0% below the 122.230 million XRP held on Dec. 31, 2025. Over the first half, net assets declined by $165.951 million, with both capital-share transactions and operations contributing to the drop.
