Most Americans say US has not achieved Iran war goals, poll shows
In a Marquette Law School survey, 88.0% of respondents said the US fell short of its Iran war objectives, while 75.0% said the war was not worth the cost.
Most Americans say the Trump administration has not achieved its war objectives against Iran, according to a Marquette Law School poll released on Wednesday.
The survey found 88.0% of respondents believe the US has not met its goals, up from April, while 12.0% said the US had achieved its objectives, down from April.
It also showed that 75.0% considered the war not worth the cost, a slight rise from 72.0% in April, as negotiations continue.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the US is involved in a conversation and negotiation between Oman and Iran on how more ships can pass through the Strait of Hormuz safely in the short term.
