Private hiring slowed sharply in July, ADP data shows
ADP reported private payroll gains of 44,000 in July, well below expectations, with most job growth coming from the health care sector.
Private hiring cooled in July, according to ADP data cited by CNBC Economy. The firm said private companies added 44,000 workers in the month.
The report also indicated that hiring slowed considerably, with the bulk of new job growth concentrated in the health care sector.
