Strive buys 20 BTC, but per-share Bitcoin exposure dips
Strive’s Aug. 3 filing shows BTC holdings rose 0.10% in late July, while gross Bitcoin exposure per effective common share fell about 0.03% after an unexplained Class A share issuance.
Bitcoin treasury firm Strive bought 20 BTC during the final week of July 2026, according to an Aug. 3 filing. The purchase ran from July 27 through July 31, with Strive reporting an average price of about $63,191 per BTC including fees and expenses.
In the same period, Strive’s Bitcoin holdings increased 0.10%, from 20,000 BTC as of July 24 to 20,020 BTC by July 31. However, effective common shares rose about 0.13%, from 84,099,973 to 84,209,973, which reduced disclosed Bitcoin exposure.
Using the July 24 snapshot as the baseline, the filing works out to roughly 23,781.2 satoshis per effective common share versus 23,773.9 on July 31, a 7.3-satoshi gap. The filing states that all 110,000 additional shares came from Class A, and it leaves the transaction unexplained.
Strive also reported cash and cash equivalents falling from $154 million on July 24 to $151.3 million on July 31, with the filing cautioning that any link between cash changes and the BTC purchase would be speculative. Separately, Strive had previously described increasing Bitcoin per share as a long-term objective, but that figure declined in the last week of July alongside the unexplained share issuance.
