US stocks rise as Iran deal hopes offset SpaceX and AMD declines
The Dow gained 180.2 points to 54,266.12 at the open, while the S&P 500 rose to 7,771.62 and the Nasdaq climbed to 26,698.0.
US equities moved higher on Wednesday as hopes for a Middle East peace breakthrough helped offset weakness in shares of SpaceX and AMD, according to LiveMint Markets.
At the open, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 180.2 points, or 0.33%, to 54,266.12, while the S&P 500 gained 35.1 points, or 0.45%, to 7,771.62.
The Nasdaq Composite rose 113.0 points, or 0.43%, to 26,698.018 in early trading.
Overall, the market gains came despite the slide in SpaceX and AMD shares mentioned in the report.
