Step App to shut down services by Aug. 21, FITFI plunges

The move-to-earn platform said it will wind down all services by Aug. 21 and urged users to unstake locked tokens and manage exchange positions before then.

Step App, a move-to-earn crypto project, is shutting down all services by Aug. 21, according to Cointelegraph. The company said on X that users should unstake any locked tokens and manage their exchange positions ahead of the shutdown date.

Cointelegraph reported that the project’s governance and utility token, FITFI, has continued to slide during a broader crypto market slump. At publication, FITFI traded at $0.0001624, down 99.9% from an all-time high of about $0.73 recorded in May 2022, based on CoinGecko data.

Cointelegraph also noted it reached out to Step App for comment but did not receive a response by the time the article was published.

Step App framed the move as the end of a four-year effort, saying it was proud of what the product achieved as both a product and a movement.
