Uniswap launches Pools.trade, adding a zero-fee token launchpad

The new platform began after early smart contract versions drew over $150 million in volume before the interface went live, and it came with day-one distribution across Uniswap’s web app, wallet, and trading API.

Uniswap has launched Pools.trade, a token-launch platform built on Robinhood Chain and powered by its v4 protocol, positioning the decentralized exchange to compete directly in the token-launchpad market. Token launchpads let users spin up new tokens, a setup that has been closely associated with the memecoin boom on other ecosystems, and Pools.trade is now aiming to bring that create-and-trade workflow into Uniswap’s orbit.

Uniswap said the rollout was disrupted as traders found earlier versions of the smart contracts before the interface went live, pushing more than $150 million in volume through the contracts and forcing the team to support both test and final versions while it delayed the official launch. Founder Hayden Adams also said Uniswap has effectively operated as launchpad infrastructure for years because new tokens have historically launched into Uniswap pools.

Pools.trade supports two launch types, an instant launch similar to other launchpads, and a “crowd launch” intended to be fairer and more resistant to bundling and sniping tactics at token open. The platform also offers zero fees, a rare approach in the launchpad space, and includes day-one support across the Uniswap web app, wallet, and trading API, plus third-party venues including Bitget, Fomo, GMGN, and OKX Wallet.

According to Decrypt, Robinhood Chain has already seen activity rebound, with DEX volumes up 50% from local lows and daily transactions up 50%, while Pools.trade is reported to hold 50% market share by launchpad volume and 40% of new tokens launched. The platform is still in beta, and it remains unclear whether it will attract higher-quality projects or mainly increase token churn.
