Cereals and Grains conference set for Nov. 11-12 in Minnesota

The Cereals and Grains Association is holding its Chemistry, Quality and Technology Conference on Nov. 11-12 in Bloomington, Minnesota, bringing together cereal and grain scientists, laboratory professionals, and technical leaders to collaborate on industry advancements, according to World Grain.
This year’s theme, From Kernel to Consumer, focuses on linking grain science and processing technology across the value chain, with an emphasis on food system transparency. Lauren Brewer, senior R&D manager at General Mills and CGA board president, said the industry is navigating challenges including climate resilience, supply chain optimization, and shifting consumer demands.
Attendees are set to participate in technical sessions covering laboratory practices, process optimization, and American Association of Cereal Chemists approved methods of analysis, along with presentations, abstracts, and posters highlighting the latest research and testing techniques.
The program also includes structured and unstructured networking breaks, plus mentorship opportunities, with organizers describing the event as a platform for ongoing collaboration across industry, academia, and government to improve grain quality, processing efficiency, and consumer trust.
