Comcast to take 140,000 square feet at Times Square tower
The company will relocate its advertising sales and technology arm into floors 27 through 31 of 1540 Broadway, a 907,000 square foot building.
Comcast has agreed to take 140,000 square feet at 1540 Broadway in Manhattan, consolidating space for its advertising sales and technology arm in the Times Square area, according to Bisnow.
The company plans to move the division into the 44-story, 907,000 square foot tower, occupying floors 27 through 31. Comcast said it will relocate from two other buildings, Shorenstein Properties’ 1407 Broadway and BGRE’s 55 W. 46th St.
The asking rents for 1540 Broadway were in the low $90s per square foot. Bisnow also reported that BDT & MSD and GFP Real Estate have been funding renovations to the building, including the lobby, elevators, and amenities, with $150 million in ongoing work.
Bisnow noted that Comcast previously leased space nearby, taking 45,000 square feet at 55 W. 46th St. in 2016 and leasing 100,000 square feet at Shorenstein’s Garment District building in 2017. The article added that other recent deals at 1540 Broadway include Woori Bank New York Agency and Pandora, with Schrodinger and Adobe also listed among tenants.
